Thanks for the clips rdbass. Too me it seems in the clips shown, the coil is what I would consider to be the load, and the one that's titled loading it the transfer of weight to get to launch.

Please don't take offense to this, but it would be helpful for people later on down the road reading this thread if you actually quoted the person you are responding to.

Threads get confusing when there are posts in which questions are asked of 'someone' and there is no indication of who that 'someone' is. It also gets confusing when you begin a thread on the topic of 'X', don't know what 'X' is' and yet discuss 'X' for a few pages while not knowing what it is.

I check out the Mudders Brudder link you quoted.

Look at post 669 from Mudders Brudder in that link. IMO the term loading is sort of a general term which is basically referring to preparing the body to launch an object. Here the object is the bat. If you want a real
world example think about what your body would do if you want to pick up a heavy object and toss it as far as you could forward. You could do that with a stride (as stride hitters do see the examples rdbass posted) or with no stride (as no-stride hitters do, see Pujols for example).

If I were you, I would first worry about fixing the double stride issue. In both strides she is "loading" some, it isn't perfect, but it isn't horrible either. Get her to stride once and then work from there.

Pattar I'm strictly focusing on fixing the double stride issue first and for most. As a matter off fact we did some practice with it last night. Mostly off the tee, because I'm trying to get her to under stand that its 1 stride only. I also did some of the things you suggested with the front toss. She did well. Her timing was a little off, which is to be expected, but we will keep working at it. One this is for certain her swing was more fluid for sure.

This thread is more for my understanding of "Load"

Gotcha. Once you fix the double stride issue, tell your DD to try and hit the ball as hard as she can and see where she is at.. I am serious about that. You would be surprised to see what a kid will do with regards to their body
movements if you only give them that queue. A lot of times they are just worried about making contact... Of course you don't want a "muscled up" swing, which will be slow, but like I said you can see where she is at when she
has the intent of hammering the ball and then work from there.

We want to think about creating stretch rather than an all-back/all-forward push. In simple terms, the hands need to pull back at the same time as the stride is going forward to toe-touch. Some people refer to this a "walking away from the hands".

This video has been helpful for some people in getting a better understanding of a correct sequence...https://youtu.be/vLbpAoG_dgQ?list=PLLo_t691U8DVQCriImV9Kt44VdEI6iFir

Thank you. Just subscribed to your whole list to btw :)

This is a technical thread.. so people are very technical in their responses, and for what you are looking for, maybe a little too technical. For the record, I'm not saying they aren't offering valuable info. I understand what you are asking, and initially you received some very informative responses. Now the water is becoming a little muddied. If you are a little frustrated, that's understandable. I honestly believe you should focusing on sequencing... forget referring to it as load, coiling etc. Your DD is young, keep it simple and have fun. patter gave you some excellent advice with front toss. But even before that Eric F provided a link that provides a useful drill that any age can follow. Master this off the tee, then replicate to soft/front toss, then video her game swing to see if she is still in sequence. That's my advice.
