His swing does not look like a HL, elite or whatever (you choose the adjective) swing advocated by many. He doesn't squish the bug, twist the bug or spin the bug. He shifts (weight) laterally then swings to complete shift (not the swing is the shift). He uses both legs (two legged momentum swing). He doesn't fall off the bar stool or over the falls. Doesn't have much tip and rip activity. Kinda has the barrel pre turned. He swings relatively level when compared to and Ferris wheel teach. How does he do it? He just broke mlb exit velocity record with a substandard, less than optimal swing.
I have asked this question before and nobody seems to want to answer or guess at it but I will try again. What % of mlb players are two legged hitters? Even when looking at the league leaders in both average and HRs they would have less than optimal swings according to some. Does that make any sense to anybody?
And besides that, this is a fastpitch forum.
