I just read a post for region 1 USSSA which is the MD/DE/DC area and they do not allow guest players/pick up players. Parents do have to approve the roster addition, but pending would not allow them to play. The best answer is verify through your regional/state director. Don't take anyone else's word or you could find yourself stuck.
