I hate to keep dredging this topic back up (so why am I doing it?) . . .

Here is another reason I have issue with blanketly stating "It is legal" . . . note there is a product that is Gorilla Gold that is illegal according to NFHS. This page came from inside my state's Officials Center, so I cannot post a working link. The slide is from the NFHS presentation sent to all states.

So the all sport one is legal, and the one labeled golf is not. In NFHS anyway.

Thank you for proving my point about why this assertion is cringe-worthy. Maybe people should actually check the USA Softball Certified Equipment lists.


SPOILER: Yes. The all sport one is legal. Well, presumably, since USA Softball's "list" isn't actually a list naming any product. It is just a picture of one product. So, yes, "Gorilla Gold is legal" is a misnomer. There is one Gorilla Gold product that is legal.
