    dipping back shoulder during swing

If that is her swing and she strikes out often what else could it be? (this past weekend ,our 2nd tournament of season, she hit 1 double and 3 singles all to the green out of 5 games strike outs were 5 to 6 times) I didn't think that was horrible considering being the 2nd tournament but she is...

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep a player from dipping their back shoulder when swinging the bat? Any drills? DD form is great off the tee, soft toss, just loses it during the game.

if a pitcher breaks her hand, what can she work on?

9 yr old pitching too much?

I agree with MandM on misinformation and thats why I posted on this issue because myself and my DD are a product of misinformation and it caught up to us. Lets just say we will play a whole different ball game this season (safer, healthier). Parents and some coaches is what I'm refering to when...

9 yr old pitching too much?

Wow..As my DD is just returning to softball after rehab for 10 mos because of shoulder injury. "Loose shoulder" Overuse. 200 pitches in a day is not good and for 300-400 you are ruining your DD. The Ortho Doctor just told my DD when he first seen her that her odds of beating this injury was 1...

Is Ice Nice or Heat the Treat?

DD was told to Ice only at the end of day not between games and that it was a good idea even if you dont have pain just to prevent any swelling that may occur. Keep shoulder and arm warm during games-heat gets the blood flow to the muscles. This is what were told by her ortho and pt.

Looking for some input on a.r.t. (active release techniques)

She has had 2 MRI 1 with the dye test- no tears, shoulder instability is an injury with no quick fix, at least in our case. She missed 1/2 TB season and shut down all other sports through out this school year. This coming season we hope to be back BETTER and STRONGER than ever!!!

Looking for some input on a.r.t. (active release techniques)

Thank you and after discussing this with her orthopedic doctor, he explained to me that in my dd case (shoulder instability) this procedure would be a waste of money ($60 per session) We will continue pt until injury is completely healed.. almost there :) but I did hear this technique was used...
