Runner on 2nd signaling pitch location to batter

Sign stealing on the field is part of the game. Catcher needs to to go to a 2nd or third sign for different pitches & set up for location just before the pitch is thrown. We did this all the time in baseball & Men’s Major Fastpitch Softball

It sounds like you’re doing a good job with your daughter & she prefers what you’re doing. If she’s hitting then don’t change anything. First of all finding a hitting instructor who has played major Fastpitch Softball & can teach it to all age levels mentally & mechanically is very hard to find...

Right u never want someone learning to throw BP to your hitters. A good BP pitcher has to throw a lot of strikes with decent speed be able to mix in some different speeds & be able to fall to the side to be protected by the net. I practiced this a lot for my teams to hit. All this at a shorter...

U don’t want the hitters to cheat the machine which means moving to a spot before the ball comes out. That’s why machines get a bad rap because a lot of coaches let the hitters cheat the machine It’s not as hard as people think, u don’t have to pitch from 40 or 43ft 30 or 35 ft is good enough...

The Hitting is the hardest part of the game so those high reps in practice help, in an actual game you’re lucky to get 8 swings. That’s not going to help u become a better hitter.

The way I train my hitters is to have a machine that throws the same pitches That they will see in game situations and better movement, also I throw live. I only work on movement when I feel the hitter is ready.

Taking live batting practice before the game

I was fortunate enough to be able throw good underhand BP. U don’t have enough time to take BP at away games so I had r girls come in before their classes started to get r hitting in. Hitting is the hardest part of the game so we hit 6 days a week.

Ok this is how are varsity team did our hitting. When we had to travel to another school by the time we got there we only had time to warm up our arms and take infield and outfield. So to get our hitting in I had the girl's come in the field hse at 6:00am to take live batting practice. I agree...

Taking live batting practice before the game

Playing Major Men's Fastpitch & coaching varsity girl's softball the 1st thing I noticed is how many teams fail to take live batting practice before their games or even in their practices. I would like to hear all the comments on this. Thanks. Bobby B
