My daughter has been putting in a lot of work in an attempt to improve her swing. She rarely strikes out, but has been having trouble driving the ball on contact. Her last game she started to break out going 3-3 with an inside the park HR down the right field line, a double to right (this...
Oh I agree. I made to mistake of telling her if she put in the extra work away from team practices I’d look into investing in a new bat. She has and I am.
My DD is 9 years old, tall for her age, and has been using a 30/20 for about 2 years. She swings the bat well and she liked the feel of a 31/20 we had her test in store. She has also swung a friend’s old 31/19 and hit really well with it in BP.
So I’m currently looking into getting my DD either a Ghost or an LXT, but as I was researching I came across this bat for around $150. I get it isn’t the same level of quality as the other 2 I mentioned but considering it as a second bat. Anyone have any experience with it?
I know this wasn’t specifically directed at me, but I will say the only reason I pay for pitching lessons is she said she wanted to learn to pitch and I have zero knowledge on how to teach her. I’ve learned enough from her pitching coach to help her when she wants to throw an extra day during...
I’m not opposed to spending more than $200. That’s a minimum I expected to spend. I don’t want to pay more though if the difference in quality is minimal.
Figured on at minimum $200, though don’t get me wrong I’d love to trip over a better deal lol.
I’m still not sure about drops. I get what it is, but is one better than another or is that solely how it feels to the hitter?
My 9 year old DD is ready for a bat upgrade. She’s been using a 30/20 Easton we picked up at Dick’s 2 years ago for like $50. We told her we would get her a new bat if she put in the effort to improve her swing and she has been working hard. She likes the feel of the 30/20 but she swung with a...
I agree about kids and their devices. I will say one of our favorite things to do this summer, when my schedule allows, has been to go down to this club we are members of. It has a pool, shelter houses, playground and a set up where the kids can play baseball/softball. We go down, workout, and...
Thanks for your feedback, guys. Sounds like we’re on a solid schedule. Trying to find a balance. It’s tough because, like most people, I want to give her every chance to succeed, but not at the expense of just having fun and being a kid.
My DD is trying hard to improve after an up and down first year of 10U. She has started seeing a pitching coach because she was really impressed with some of the pitchers this year and she wants to take BP any chance she gets. This is pretty new to me as far as really training her for a sport...
