There was a debate among coaches on our travel team this weekend as to should a catcher pick a low pitch and pull it up into the zone (Technique endorsed by the catching coach in the area) or flip the glove palm up and catch the low ball.
Opinions on the technique you like and Why?
It is not an example of her pushing up on her back foot. It was just the only video I had of her at the present time. It is not an all the time issue it is just something that pops into her swing on occasion and was curious if anyone else had a similar issue.
I will try to get a better video tomorrow. I went through my files and didnt have any of a recent swing other than this one. It may not be of any help. Thanks for the replies anyway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xRzWnO9tnM
I will try to gt it on video. I do understand that the heel will be off of the ground at contact. This is more like she is pushing up instead of rotating around. She doesn't do it all of the time but when she does it does cause her to hit pop flies instead of line drives. It is not a huge issue...
We scheduled an appointment with her but some family issues have risen for her and she is not doing lessons right now. Trying to find someone along the same lines as her.
