A new experience
PGF has been making a push in Ohio, KY, and IND. the past two years. They do struggle getting umpires so, they are duel sanctioning USSSA, NSA or ASA events to attach the PGF name. Ohio did have a PGF only event in Columbus Ohio in June this year but that did not draw any more college coaches...- coach dennis

Does "enhancing" recruiting information really help?
Having worked several NCFA camps I can say that at these events they have some of the best collection of athletes from the top teams in the USA. The numbers do not lie. Slapper bat size
DD has been swinging 34" 26-27oz bats for years. Same comments come up with using slow pitch bats. Basically most parents/players and some coaches never understand rule number one... ..Know the rules... Our slappers use 34" drop 12 balanced at 18U. I would be a little leary of this schedule. It sounds as though the team may not be a top A level team. Going to every single qualifier within a days drive to hopefully get lucky. The fact is, if you are a mid-level A team, your efforts (and money) may be better spent elsewhere than traveling...- coach dennis

To go or not to go, that is the question....
My Opinion is if a parent can attend they should... not only to support the student and school but just in case there is an injury. If they cannot because of work etc they should make the decision "after attending" the parent meeting where the itinerary, chaperones per student, meals, cost...- coach dennis

Threads like this is a recipe for argument.... more negative than positive… All the instructors mentioned (or not), have students that believe in their system and what they are trying to teach… Some take accomplished hitters and tweak the swing to increase power SLUG% OBP% etc…Some take weak...- coach dennis

HELP- Want an effective weekly hitting drill routine for 10 yr old
StraightLeg has given you some good drills (BTW, his DD is very accomplished at the plate using them)! I would add in pitching some wiffle golf balls (we use a stick to hit but you can buy a bat ball combo), Using a Hurricane.
