ASA Code Changes for 2012 - Final
Both my 14u pitchers this summer will be HS pitchers in the fall. They need to be throwing at 43' now. It's going to be an NSA kind of summer for us. It will be a repeat next year and the year after as well.- Bishop

Opinions on 12U catchers gloves
I'll second marriard. Mizuno Franchise Pro Series GXS92 Catcher's Mitt | Mizuno USA GSX92 is what I use. It's the glove that kept getting borrowed by our catchers on game day.- Bishop

End loaded or not
Asked my daughter what she thinks about her Nanotech. Response is: Love it. Mis-hit balls only sting a little bit of the end or handle. The sweet spot is bigger than the Voodoo and gives you a little more wiggle room to hit it hard.- Bishop

thoughts on upgrading bad orginization
The organization is a feeder for H.S. and the person who sets direction for what the kids in your organization should learn (HS coach) and the person formerly with the responsibility of making sure that direction is followed (former director) are trying to get you on board to continue to lead...- Bishop

End loaded or not
DD used an end loaded DeMarini Voodoo at ages 10 & 11. AD ran over the bat with his scooter thing he runs between fields on and we replaced it with a Nanotech. DD loves both bats, hit for power with both.- Bishop

DD gets to work on pitching during the offseason
It will be huge Quincy. I can always tell which of my pitchers have practiced during the off season and which ones sat on the couch watching reality TV.- Bishop

What are people's opinions on kettlebells?
Yep. love them. Pretty much what Coach D'E said. With a little thought and education a few excercises properly executed can strengthen all the important areas in a small amount of time. I'd recommend seeking out a KB training professional and getting a consult to lay out goals, let them...- Bishop

I'd tell you to move up here and help me coach summer ball, but I imagine you are still going to be busy as all get out with your org even if your daughter isn't playing for them any more. Any tips for surviving junior high school ball?
I'm really glad that school ball in my area is nothing like what you all are describing. I'll have to remeber to thank our school coaches at the game tonight, if it isn't rained out. Bleh.- Bishop

Agreed on the endurance thing. Though there is benifit to ATP system training for postition players, but it's not as critical. They tend to get more and longer breaks in output during a game than pitchers and catchers. Dutch and my kid are pitchers. I see value in some sort of Tabata...- Bishop

It's not non-stop. 30 seconds of Burpees then 30 seconds active rest, repeat 15 times. I thought I mentioned that in my OP, sorry if II omitted that part. The first few cycles it's about 6 or 7 Burpees by the end it's more like 2 or 3 with Mr. Pukie chasing me down. Think Tabata Protocol...- Bishop
