Average exit velocity by age

fastest exit speed, off a tee, with softball that I've ever hard of is Crystal Bustos and I believe it was in the 91-93mph range. I'd seriously doubt the 12 yr old blast motion video.

I have a hard time even believing Bustos had 91-93 mph EV off a tee. If I am not mistaken, that means she could hit a ball off the tee approximately 300 feet. Maybe??

She could pick you up and throw you 50 ft.

The guy won. Bustos was like high 80's to low 90s(88-92ish. The guy was in the 100's(105-110ish)

I met her (Bustos) and got to watch her sit several years ago. She was hitting off front toss. She not only cleared the fence, but the roadway beyond and into the yards across the street. That measures about 320'. That's where the balls were ending up so they might have bounced off the road, but still impressive.

I recently saw a social media post that said the average mlb bat speed was slower than triple A. The theory was a quicker path to the ball and solid contact were more important than maybe extra load and bigger swing. And the difference was only a few mph.

It being on social media and I cannot verify it 50/50 it is true.
