Still not convincing using examples of other programs in other states, seems like a weird way to compare. Unless that team claims outright to be 'just as good' as the original, whatever that means, why is it relevant to say because they are an expansion team its probably lipstick on a pig? Never heard of them either, but are they proclaiming to be as good as another team in that org? Are they not allowed to be good on their own merits? Every program you mention was at one point, brand new. I hope they make it.

Seems like a very good way to compare. Gave multiple examples of other franchise teams that are nowhere near the level of the original team. There has not been one franchise team that has lived up to the expectations of the original team. Here are a few more examples, Texas Glory teams out of Illinois/Iowa area, all the Texas Bombers teams that are popping up across the country. We just had a Birmingham Thunderbolts team pop up in Illinois. Not one of them is even remotely close to the original.

In general the only thing that changes is the teams jersey, and the dues go up.

Proceed with caution.

I assume by original you mean to say the team that is coached by the owner of the organization? So your conclusion then is, don't play for any nationally branded teams unless that team is coached by the owner?

So Cal
Not sure if they're at all connected with the same org, but the couple of Fury teams we've seen over the years haven't been more than mediocre (if that).

Perhaps this explanation

These nationally known org names could host their own nationals... This org only.

that many teams in each.
But they have to play other organizations if they want the best team in each age bracket to have competition.

Yes they already play friendlies against eachother....
Pretty much 1 team will still stand out because thats the built team. The others are feeders.

Imagine this cycle probly occurs state to state.
Few strong, one strongest at best.

I have an interesting Fury Platinum update for you. We played them just today! They were blah. So blah that when we sac bunted with college coaches watching their coach screamed at our team about the 'rules of bunting' in a showcase. When our coach replied that you have to play the game or you don't make bracket play, the Fury coach ran out, headbutted our coach, then pushed him to the ground.

AFTER ALL THAT, he was not ejected immediately. After things settled down, and they pitched a few more pitches our coach rightfully went back out and asked how a coach can assault another coach on the field during a live game, and we go on as nothing happened. The Fury coach was then quickly ejected.

Strange. I guess shell-shock can affect umps too. Not a good showing for Fury today.

Actually I think its very relevant. Across the country rarely is a franchise version of a team as good as the original. For example batbusters in IN and IL, Impact outside of GA....its most often lipstick on a pig and more trouble and expense than its worth. Go in eyes open and don't expect an automatically great team because its a name.

I think the Impact Teams in Florida would disagree with your statement.

Absolutely crazy and unacceptable.

I’m quite aware of the no bunting dealio but players do bunt.

If your team is “all that” and someone bunts on you, it seems like it’s time to play them straight up and crush them. Running his mouth about it looks really weak and pathetic.
