Sorry Mud but I'm not following your statement here. How did you get that from the article? If anything, IMO it stressed how it all works together through Tensegrity.
"A tensegrity structure is made up of stiff poles and cables that hold the shape through tension. In the cat (or your legs and spine), the bones are the poles and the tendons, ligaments, muscles, and fascia are the cables." Some are cables, some are turnbuckles, some are nuts and bolts, and some more or less teflon sheeting...in the same analogous construction site example between the two.

Yes we are pliable but become much more rigid during the act of swinging the bat or at least that should the goal....... So what’s your point?

Dunno, maybe that some seem to go way over board with the minutia? idk....just been down that cul-de-sac road before, and it never did lead anywhere productive in the past is I guess my point. :)

So you don’t believe in the theory of it...... that’s all you had to say..... I am truly in it for the learning aspect. I feel a lot of discussion gets discarded because someone maybe afraid to be wrong or look dumb to their peers..... I’m not afraid to be proven wrong. I’m just an oil field worker using my hands and back for a living not necessarily my brain. Seriously though, If you care to I would like to hear your experience with going down that road. The actions that were taken and why you believe it failed. Hit me up if you would like to share your journey but either way thanks for the discussion.

1. It makes them comfortable working their hand path.
2. It makes them uncomfortable working their hand path.
3. I'm old. Been coaching since the mid 1980's. That's an old drill.
I'm old too.. what I'm asking is what are the benefits of this drill.. what you believe.. not if it makes them comfortable or not.

Exactly julray, do you really not understand that I'm agreeing with you? Or is the "camp" thing too blinding for you?
Quite honestly I had no idea wtf you were talking about.. agreeing with me but at same time I felt like you were questioning me. You confused me. You can stop the 'camp' bs, it's getting old. I have disagreed with both sides, if you can't see that, then you are blind.

It is just a simple drill to isolate hand path, used by a few because it's works for them. They use it if they are comfortable with and they don't if they are not comfortable. Nothing more nothing less.

I believe it doesn't matter to me what they do.
