It's pulling left/back really hard. Whatever direction is 90 degrees to the bat. that's what direction he is pulling with his left hand. And he doesnt stop til well after contact. That's why he gives himself a nice Rawlings Big Stick contusion on his back.
That's the beauty of thst piazza gif. Most guys relax after contact and go with the bat. We get to see a nice belt buckle bounce and get confused.
Piazza keeps pulling it. His belt buckle doesnt bounce at all. Because he keeps extending and pulling around well through contact. Looks like he got struck by lightning. Lucky for us.

I am not arguing, just can't remember the purpose of this post. Why is the piazza gif relevant? is it a good swing we should emulate?
