I added the angles to your chart. Gravity wins.

Chart clearly states riseball rises.. lol. starts at knees and ends up just below letters. Of course it depends on hard the pitcher is throwing as well. Also would love to see screwball and curve trajectories. They tend to also flatten out more.. I know there are variations, I'm talking about in general.

I like to see the this chart applied to this guys pitching.. specifically the pitch 55 secs and the one the hitter strikes out on(beautiful pitch)


I agree, gravity will pull a pitch back down at some point.. when it comes back down is debatable. Pitches can stay on path if pitched hard enough with the right spin.. it defies gravity from the pitchers hand to the catchers glove.

I'll make a deal..you guys stop talking about math/physics and I won't bitch about Marcela for a month..sounds like a win-win for everybody right?
