But they are not going to get Covid from the tree.... :)
but they might have it because their father has to go to work..right?

Again the point is a family needs to decide what risk they are putting both their child and the people their child is contact with before deciding whether playing is worth the risk. If they decide to play they should then make sure they do as much as they can to mitigate that risk, which they feel is worth taking, by practicing proper hygience, etc., etc.

I gave you your point. I understand where you are coming from and I can respect your opinion while I disagree with it. It is up to me to make sure my family is protected, not some team, club, organization, or even the government. I hear this "we are all in it together" all the time but no, we are not all in this together. I may be in the same river but I am in a different boat.

You do want your DD to play on a team? You do want your DD's team to play other teams?

If so, then everyone has to agree on a common set of rules for managing covid19. Otherwise, teams will not play your team.

You are a logical person... are seriously going down this path? A mother or father who has to go to work to support his family is not even in the same realm as what we are talking about here. We are talking mitigation of a risk, and you know this.

That's all I my initial post was about.. guidelines are in place for a reason, normally it extends past the immediate gathering/activity and considers the impact on others in society. Nothing wrong with being a little cautious right now.. little bit at a time and monitor

And I can agree with that. My response which you quoted was in response to the "what about granny" and the "collective mentality" that was posted when it comes to a single child and their particular situation. You simply cannot combat every individual situation and expect any type of return to any form of social interaction. It will not happen, even with a vaccine and some people cannot seem to understand that concept.

I added to my post but no I agree it is not the same. So before I discuss any further, is your stance nobody should be playing sports right now? If so then there is no point talking further about this. If your stance is that guidelines should be followed, well I don't know who you are arguing with. Guidelines, as long as they don't effect the game on the field, are great.

Remember initially you responded to me about something I wrote that had nothing to do with not following guidelines...

Then I think your jumping on board a little late when it comes to the point I was making

Again good discussions.

Sluggers point.

ADD
Dont have to agree there valid or enough. Should recognize some necessity tho!

To some who want to go with all or nothing...let it all ride... roll the dice for everyone.
Find a state who will allow that right now, And play there.
Is there one?
