I know this question can have a lot of different answers and have many different variables, but I'm curious what other teams/players pay toward organization fees? Our team pays one fee per year each fall. I don't mind paying the fee at all, just curious what other teams "charge". DD plays 12U A level ball.

We tried out for a few 10U teams. Low was $1000, high was $2500. Both playing about the same number of tournaments.

The higher fee team gave you a set number (10 perhaps) of lessons from a pro, and free use of cages. The low was simply tournaments fees and a low-cost jersey.

Monthly fee which goes directly to the org (which we pay quarterly) is $50. The rest of what we pay for the quarterly fee depends on what tournaments we play along with the every so often addition charge for things like insurance for the various letters, etc. Uniforms are not part of the fee and neither are (obviously) any travel expenses we have. I would say for second year 10U altogether we were probably in the $2000-$2500 range for total costs including hotel costs for 3 tournaments which required it (including one where we stayed in a hotel/condo for almost a week). No airfare costs yet.. :)

In the $3K range 14U. Covers uniforms 12ish tournaments, indoor year round facility, prof training throughout winter on weekends.

Random barely-related question:

Say you join an org and pay $2000, and included is a hitting coach to go along with strength/conditioning, fielding training, etc. And what if you completely disagree with the hitting philosophy of the hitting coach. What do you do?

1) Help your DD learn how to adapt the team's cues and drills into the approach of her HI.
2) Find another team.

I will give an approximate cost - it falls between $3500 - $4000 per year 18U Gold team that only plays in showcase events.

we are looking at approx $1800 combined for fall through spring (coach still finalizing figures), this is going to include org fees (insurance, etc.), practice shirts/fall jerseys, spring unis, bags, 4 fall tournaments, winter indoor training, probably 6-7 spring tournaments, and a national tournament.
