I say it’s not a match. What are you talking about?

The fact is if you do what the pros say. Think critically. Have some resolve and patience. Read. Dig. Learn. Instead of blindly following because a pool hall guy shows you his swing and says it’s a match.

But if you like what he says ok great. But don’t say it’s what Barry and the greats do. All I ask. All I’ve ever asked.

Everyone including the people who do it don’t have a clue how they do it. Even though you practice what you say you do. It’s not so!!!

If people would just say’ I think this is a better way’... I’m fine with that. But don’t claim he is peddling elite level stuff. Don’t lead people down a path they think is what the pros do.

Video analysis is great, but I believe one is forcing the result..barrel turning.

Even TM outlines how AROD takes his hands directly to the ball, just like AROD claims he does in the video. In the demo, ARODS wrists are stiff, it's slow motion, he's not using his bigger muscles..etc... therefore the barrel just stays upright, doesn't react the way it normally would with relaxed wrist and tilt factored in. Again, TM proved what AROD said in the video analysis, Hands straight line on downward plane to the ball, relaxed wrists(pivot point), the barrel worked the way it should because that's where the mass is.

Hand articulations.. if I tip the barrel, then I need to get my hands in straight line ASAP down towards the incoming pitch, guess what happens to the barrel? It's not forced, it happens as a result. All these pros aren't wrong, they just don't explain the entire process, people become easily mislead.

Maybe you can achieve the same result the way TM teaches it... but to me it seems much more forced, much more difficult, much more AWKWARD, but easy to explain to be honest, that's a very unique movement. So why don't the pros explain it that way? Because they don't force the result.

I just explain what the pros do and say. I’ve put a lot work into it. I’ve had help as well. Some good members on both sites. Some good pro instructors that give access to some material as well.
