Don't forget to have someone with little knowledge of the game who likes to yell all the time situated near the camera.
The worst is when this is me.

Hube,
Here's my kit.
1. Activeon CX Action Camera $49.99
2. Lynk Spyder Mount
3. 10,000 mAh battery (I got as a work anniversary gift)
4. 64 GB Card bought on Black Friday
5. Two 32 GB Cards bought on previous Black Friday
6. 2 TB Hard Drive bought at retail price because I suddenly ran out of computer HD space.
Currently got two fall/spring/summer seasons worth of footage.
As you can see, I'm very much on a budget (or I'm really that cheap). A little advanced planning, and you can get the whole kit for less than a Go Pro Hero 5. Keep in mind the GPH5 is really nice. I'm happy with my cheap Activeon CX, but the zoom setting is not quite right such that I can't get both 1st and 3rd base in the picture at the same time. If we run into each other this fall, I'll show you my setup.
As an AC, my biggest problem is remembering the camera is on the fence. Many times I've left it recording hours after our game was done.
I use a solar cell phone charger to keep my go pro fully charged. I used it all last fall and this summer and I had no issues. I just clip it on the fence next to the camera, angled towards the sun.

There's no way I could have set up recording devices as an AC. There's just no time, and if I did I would have forgotten it. I left my net more than once this year and had to go back. Now that my AC days are over I have time I'm trying to fill while at the ballpark. I have become the team photographer and I guess now the videographer. I can't stand sitting around, so it works out for me.
We will be in Tri-Cities Oct 12-15 for the USA Preps Exposure. You playing that one?
