Awesome gif to add to show an awesome successful journey to this point.

I'm hoping ours turns out this way. Seeing a new to us, reputable PC next weekend. Looking forward to a successful journey of our own. And it is, somewhat, about us, not just her or myself. I am constantly trying to learn. Not only for her, but for myself as well, to become a better coach, to help her and her teammates

Java, I'd like to add a Big THANK YOU for all you do here on dfp!

Good luck with the new PC! One thing that I have found very helpful is to come on this sight after clinic and read posts that reinforce whatever lesson she has learned that day. As many times as I have read through all of the sticky's, after clinic I truly understand them so much better. I can then go to her and say something like, "Mike said to do ABC, but Rick describes it as XYZ." I might show her a video from another girl that is trying to accomplish the same thing and she can read their descriptions of what they feel. She can then take all of the different cues and use whatever makes the most sense to her.

Looking back at my DD's softball career, there are certainly some things I would have done differently, but "bucket time" is not one of them. Worth every minute!

That is just crazy progress for two months of work....

Thanks, JJ... you and your DDs have been, and I'm sure will continue to be, big influences. Just last night we were talking about hitting the low inside corner and how effective it can be vs. girls that drop the bat and swing level. I'm sure we are just one of many that you guys have helped... thanks for all you do!

There's a moral to this tale...

A reminder that this sport is about a heck of a lot more than just throwing a ball. ;)
!

This is my favorite part. I've told too many girls I've coached this very same thing. Everything we do and learn goes way beyond softball. I've given a speech on this a hundred times at least.

I've said it before but if you give Java a girl who wants it... he will more than likely have her playing big time softball even if her physical attributes aren't quite what most people consider ideal. My DD has only worked with him once as we are many states away but the time and effort he put into that one weekend is truly amazing. I can almost guarantee you there is no instructor out there that will put more time into your DD not only during the lesson but while he's at home studying video of her and preparing for the next step. It may already be this way but, if Java lived in a state where softball is just about as big as male dominated sports then he would have a waiting list a mile long. But, I would bet his lessons would still be one-on-one, an hour long, and the cost would be reasonable. Most instructors who produce a few decent kids open their lessons up to 2 to 3 students at a time for 30 minutes (maybe an hour if you're lucky) and run them through with no time to even ask a question and I'm betting there isn't a thought about most of them as soon as the lesson is over. As stated... Mike will not let your DD just go through the motions. He is very cool and will have fun with your DD but she will push herself or it won't be long before he tells you this just isn't for you. If you live out of state and can afford it, I truly recommend you visit him!
