there is no ER of the femur in the rear hip socket.

there is no "held ER" as in the Sam Snesd squat move:

What's a Hip Turn? Part 2 :: Oceanic Time Warner Cable's AroundHawaii.com

There is IR at the rear hip socket (AFIR with rear hip as bottom of top with no loss of pull backs and no bleed/ER in rear hip joint) which is held/not bled.

AFIR:

Pay no attention to the opening pelvis as the rear femur is held... And becomes ER! Setting up a stretch to become IR.

From the document that Tom shared:
(AFIR)/femoral-acetabular internal rotation (FAIR) is a combination of extension, internal rotation and adduction.
Absolutely tom, the antagonist move that sets up the AFIR is the held ER/Bow-Squat move.... If you can't see the combination of flexion, external rotation and abduction in the bow-squat - it's not my fault. LOL

Is that a screw ball? hello elbow?

this guy is a mad scientist, crazy good coach.
he has a special fix for each girl.

Would sure like for him to discuss the things that he is doing, after the season.

and yes, I can see the coil, from the side, but like phreak says, not typical.

again, thanks for the gifs.

I had it as a riseball. Review BM's 'barrel' video.

I did see the 1B and 3B coaches discussing hitting mechanics with the players frequently. IMO, other than the slapper, they attempted to employ a similar mechanical approach throughout the line-up.

What they are doing is very similar to the 45-degree drill. A drill I like to perform at the start of my BP sessions. I've had some of my biggest hits from this drill. Many folks throughout the country perform this drill. I recall having a phone conversation with TDS years ago in which we discussed this drill ... a drill he was familiar with as well. As I said earlier in this thread .... many hitters have asked me if they could hit this way during games .... and what we see is that there is a successful team that does just that.

I haven't tried the 45-degree drill but it will be the first drill I try at my next lesson. Team season is over. Any particular advice I need?

First off, thank you Five, more all the work on these clips.
they will used for some time to come.

I notice she floats into a firm front side, a block.
The front hip is cleared, the rear is able to move forward freely, by a very strong Back, and Butt, drive.

The also appear to use the "pull the bow back" scap pinch type move.

I once asked, what caused this pelvic action, that you see in this hitter very clearly, it was Braun as the example at the time,

Pstien, said it was the back leg, but it seems much more than that.

This swing would not work, without the front leg.

The BACK, and the BUTT muscles, forcing DOWN, I think has something to do with this pelvic action.

edit ps, Five, can we get around the PNG, format any easier than chasing each and every clip?

right clip save does not work on your clips.
Smugmug is only like 10.00 a year.

I answered Teach, do you see the bold above?

split grip is not a mystery either, and there is nothing wrong with using rotation, along with the pivot point.

I spy with my one eye an 'elbow pokey'.
lexiecoil_zpsbc733194.gif

Rock the U ....Elbow over the belly button ...check.
Hip coil...crease in the rear hip...check.

Wrong rdbass, That would be "pull the bow" the angle of the shoulder would be Down and in, she stays level and pulls back, in a counter wind. definitely not rock the u.
hip coil yes, on a pre loaded back foot and leg, which I have Nothing against.

Now if the ladies were to start getting under the ball, or dipping, I would have them use "rock the u", as a fix.

rdbass

It wasn't me.

Not here.
she stays level and pulls back,
LAF40_zps33754ab5.gif

You see level shoulders? OK.... then.
I see down and in. I see the back 33's raise up and I see more of her back as the hitter 'coils' forward.

Just look at the sign behind the hitter. Maybe the signs not level?

Would love to hear the mental cues associated with this action.....
Not just the top hand getting through turning the barrel but also what is the mental thought associated with the action of the bottom hand clapping the top hand after the barrel is turned or possibly at contact????
