Believe it or not, 60fps is fast enough.

Breaking my own advice, I tried this while I was home alone. After trying to fix the high speed clips above... not too good, I just had to put JS's statement to the test. I have a newer cam, that formats in AVCHD... I set my cam to TV max=1/2000, and just high quality. Also I have Extreme Pro SD card... Not good enough for inside...but Happy with outside... no blur  I used a camera stick, so I could swing it as fast as I could. I didn't use my BBonds style, not wanting the younger dads getting green.

EP: I agree with JS saying the light can be the enemy... Did you see that beam just rob all the resolution out of my head. I did shoot this in full shade... I thought.

All about the lighting. These were taken with the same $80 Kodak Play cam.

This gif was made by BoardMember. Video shot in my basement. Lighting not so great.

This one was made by PC, original video shot on a bright sunny day.

That was excellent composition too with the outside light.... You had great contrasting colors, against the background!!! I can do better now with the .gifs now...
I think I was pausing to see where she was landing the foot in relation to her arm in the circle (clock). It is the clip that made me to start looking for logo's on the cleats. When they are that clear in the video, the .gif always turn out better, and much easier to do.

I took some cumulative advice from JS and PC and tried the new HD camcorder on 60P. But on a SUNNY DAY and tried to get the angle with the most sun. It works much better, there are no settings I can change to do this but it automatically does some magic internally with whatever the digital equivalent of shutter speed and aperture are. Anyway, result was no blur and extra money in my pocket.

Nice Clip !!! Thx for the mention... "as advice"... It was JS's ... I just rushed the machine guns nest first... lol. I have done that with lotz of stuff I read on here. Thx JS... you are now in my Elite group, of people who have told me stuff, and it worked in less than 5 min. but its a Motley can do Crew... some ran some ban & some PLAN...:{))

It was cold out & DD was at the movies... I tried it inside, but it turned out way too dark...like the kid from Japan testing the Casio (that I wasted an hour trying to fix his).... But it didn't have blur... I ran out set the tripod...couldn't find bat, so I grabbed the camera stick. You know... It was kinda nice not having to mess with DD on this one...LOL cloths, hair...ect ...Plus she will never be able to swing as hard or as fast as me...lol That was a plus in this one. I figured if it didn't work...I'd have less than five min. in it. I was worried that the stick would fly open & bust a window....that would have got more likes than success on here...just another blooper...I can get the camera closer next time w/ DD, better colors....ect

But now I think I got the bug... I'm going to make another one of me to get on Noontimes Blog... he has a un-Categorized (1) listing  Maybe start a Bloopers list

*PM is full... got a clip & analysis for you...>>>

Ding Ding Ding Ding! A+.........She "carries the ball" forward and THEN tries to I/R her forearm late...........As a result, the transfer from bicep to forearm is TO late........Notice there is no decel in the bicep at the optimum moment......It actually decels way out in front where the forearm is taking the energy.........Then even snaps backward a bit and never finishes because the energy is all but spent at that point.........

That is the difference between "I/R THEN follow through" TAKE THE ENERGY ON TIME............

Vs. "follow through then I/R" which the young lady above suffers from..........She is "LATE"..........

If she (forearm) would TAKE THE ENERGY ON TIME..........Everything would change.......Including posture....Brush interference, and VELOCITY............

"REACHING" for the target and poor posture is a tell tale sign of "Late I/R"..........

BUST IT OFF.........THEN Follow Through.............

The young lady down below. Is this being done right? Is he an example of correct? Her posture doesn't look good? Looks as if she is leaning? Is this an example of bad posture and reaching? Im sorry, Im confused and the text along with the videos does not clearly define this!

Thanks
Can someone further explain LATE to me. Are we talking about when the forearm pronates? I do see the young lady above looks as if she is releasing out front.

Late is when IR is happening slowly and into the follow through. My term for it is slinging the ball or holding onto the ball to long. Not sure if that relates to others but it works for me. So when I throw the ball back to my DD I prolong the IR (lazy) so that I don't throw the ball back to fast for her. IR should happen quickly and the follow through is after IR. Think quick, the girl in yellow releases the ball and then lets her arm follow through. Like BM says "Bust it off". It would probably be easier to see if you could see both of them pitch side by side.

Ok so he is saying the young lady in the yellow shirt is an example of proper IR? Not late. he makes mention of posture and it doesn't look like this young lady has very good posture. That's why I was confused.

Thanks! This is what I was thinking the meaning of late was.

The girl in the white is leaning toward the catcher on release. The girl in the yellow has better posture for IR being that she doesn't lean forward. The girl in the yellow does go right then pushes off left to get open and finishes off balance to the right. To me a lessor issue than the forward lean of the girl in the white.
