Wellphyt,

but that would seem like a delusional dad and there is already one in this thread.

Parents reading this thread, do what you need to do to get your DD to the level they are capable of.

I think there are alot more than one.... If you would use the correct term... illusional... you will find that I'm #1 @ that !!!

All right, enough beating around the bush. Wellphyt, please post a high level hitter who matches your daughter. Do not focus on the foot action, the "carve and filet" push or anything else like that. You're making a claim that your daughter's swing is high level, but have provided no evidence outside of truncated video clips. The claimant has to support his claim.

Please post a clip of crankermo's dd that matches. Let me guess....Barry Bonds. No wait....you said Jim Edmonds. Except he doesn't match either....because as I've clearly shown....he doesn't turn the barrel towards contact as a first move. Nope....what Edmonds does is load his barrel behind the corner....like my dd.

FFS and the gang at HI are the ones that decided to post that swing of my dd as a finished product. As I recall...I posted it 18 months ago to show a parent on here how the hands stay back/go back during the stride.

You have no idea what the history of that swing was....none. The swing in the clip FFS posted is not even close to her best game swings. Do you know my dd doesn't pick up a bat from about November 1st to January 15th? She's done that since t-ball. Do you know the swing FFS posted was at the very beginning of spring after not swinging a bat in 2 1/2 months? Do you understand that she is swinging at a thrown windmill pitch starting with her feet together position with a vertical bat handset....something she had never done before.

Do you see the BIG SCRUNCH she does when she picks up her front foot? She does that because she's trying to work out how to get herself started so she can time a pitched ball from that drill position. When I first posted the clip we all talked about the BIG SCRUNCH and how bad it was. It throws off the entire swing because her back leg collapses underneath her when she bends at the knee. The entire swing is pretty much doomed from the moment she does the BIG SCRUNCH.

Do you see the BIG SCRUNCH in her tee swing from 2009? Do you see the BIG SCRUNCH in the video clip of her lower body?

What I have come to realize since FFS posted that clip...is that few on this board understand the absolutes of a high level swing. They especially don't understand synchronization. You have people on here who actually believe that these two swings below are the same. These same people are commenting on my dd's swing. It's absurd.

I have said from the beginning that my dd in that particular swing is not in sync and she doesn't use her hands well. Do you understand what that means in the context of a high level swing?

IMO Pujols and my dd are both flattening the barrel to the swing plane on high pitches....from a vertical bat handset starting position. Both my dd and Pujols have a corner. Crankermo's dd doesn't have a corner. She swings in a circle. She unloads the barrel from FRAME ONE.

The big difference I see between my dd's and Pujols' upper body....is that Pujols' flattening action is dictated by his hands. His arms are responding to what his hands are doing to the handle of the bat. My dd's hands are pretty much asleep in her swing. Her arms are controlling the action instead of her hands. Her hands look really lazy in that swing. That can happen when you haven't swung a bat in while.

I said the same thing when I first posted the clip. Her sleepy hands/wrist in that swing....cause her hands to get trapped behind the corner.

The fact is....MY DD HAS a CORNER. It's not the best corner I've ever seen....but it is a corner. Neither she nor Pujols are unloading the barrel to contact as they flatten. Both are loading the barrel down along side the deltoid....to get it in position to unload it into contact.

If you continue to study hitting....you will eventually figure out that Pujols' flattening action is a LOADING ACTION....and not an UNLOAD ACTION.

What FFS and the HI crowd want my dd to do....is to abandon the LOADING ACTION that Pujols does and just twirl the barrel into contact from FRAME ONE....from her vertical bat handset. No way would I ever teach her the bop the catcher on the head barrel path.

HI, FFS and others following the "One Legged Golfer" swing model....have never understood how Pujols or any other good hitter gets the barrel flat. I'll get into that more later.

A few years ago several of us over at BBD saw the huge contradiction in the "bop the catcher on the head" barrel path that HI teaches. Once you see the contradiction...the emperor has no cloths.

Congrats to Crank's DD. I do want to make sure that we all understand that being a D-I signee is fantastic but does not mean much more at this point than she is a signee. Crank, I say that with all respect. Also, I've been at this for a long times as have some of you. We all know that a "swing" or two posted here are not indicative of so much more as it relates to hitting and later success at college. Dozens have come and gone on this site and others who claim that their child has a MLB Swing only to find out that when they entered college they had limited if any success.

Again, Crank, this is not an attack on your child at all. She has a fantastic swing. Rather, it is a call to reason as various daughters are being singled out for projected success when none of us know what will happen in the future. Most recall that my dd was singled out and attacked with the projection that she would be a failure as well. While that may happen in the next 2 years, it hasn't happened yet. JMHO! I apologize for posting in this thread again since I said I would not post in it again.

Take care,

Darrell

So now Crank shouldn't have the right to state facts to defend his dd from Welly's attacks on her?

This hole thread was wellphyt attacking... And it would have gone away a long time ago, but he keeps pulling out more daggers. He is not a victim here.

Following the back and forth. I have to say, posting this side by side is a real head scratcher.

The reverse "C" created by these two swings is a huge fundamental flaw.

And the capitol "C" created by the hitter on the right is not high level.

Cannonball,

Excellent post and I totally agree that just because you are a D1 commit doesn't guarantee you anything. But Wellphyt keeps saying there is no adjustability and in my DDs swing and when she faces LEGIT pitching it will be exposed. So I pointed out the fact she plays at the highest level nationally and had a great summer in the BIGGEST tournaments in the country but he keeps spewing the garbage and I want to know where his high level swing has taken his DD but he won't answer that question will he.

I honestly want nothing but the best for his DD and everybody who reads and post on here but I'm not going to allow him to flat lie about stuff just to fit his agenda. There are people seeking legit help. So once again Wellphyt,

WHAT LEVEL DOES YOUR DD PLAY?

Hopefully the caps will keep him from saying he didn't see my question.

Lets see, we have a video of a drill, not an actual swing, and a grainy video of a tee shot. 37 pages later and it looks like the only person who has gained anything from this is perfect circle, who now knows that the way he was trying to clean up his .Gifs he was dropping frames.

And then we have this:

The second time we have seen this swing, the first when it was being taught to that poor kid.
