Some people COMMAND respect and some people try to DEMAND respect. Its too bad some didn't get there due respect they seem to think they deserved in old days.... and now feel a need to get it here. I agree with BM....its not about what YOU did...its about WHO you are helping.

Does ANYONE ever understand what Perfect Circle is saying?
I thought i did one time....by the time the thread was done..i had no idea. PC...You may be the Sheldon Cooper of pitching dads (meaning..."Big Bang Theory" smarter than all of us) but if nobody can make sense of where your coming from...what does it matter?

Does ANYONE ever understand what Perfect Circle is saying? XPitcher has his agenda, Hal is always selling books, etc. But PC's posts are just "out there". I never have a clue about what he's saying, they very rarely are about softball. Its just very odd.

Rejected.....just when I was on a roll... thanked on my last 3 post by the.... OP's.

CG...I always understand your's...."you don't understand mine". If you needed a avatar, logo, newsletter, web-site, E-Book, DVD, video analysis capabilities...ect you might. Doubt you will ever understand. I think you do understand by saying you don't understand, you get thanks.... I would like to know the ratio of my contribution to your stock pile ? JMHO

Can you understand this ??? I think we are on the same path "rooting for the rise"... ( rarely softball.... )

Some coaches have rose colored glasses and blinders. I have witnessed a 9 yr old being taught a curve and drop that could not hit side of a ball with a barn door. I asked her dad why? He said he had been reading about different pitches on line. Point is this forum and others has power. Things that are posted can be taken out of context or potentially help a pitcher. I would really hate my self if something that I thought was the only way wasnt and injured a child or ruined the dream of pitching all together. This site is mainly adults posting and I am sure that kids read it. Remember not every thing is about you, its about kids.

Than-X... My Dad told me when I was about 10...."Don't believe nothing you hear, and only half of what you think you see" ~ Dad ...... This was long before the internet...

I altered to show DD what a hop in the Rise could look like.... Don't think anyone else will find a better graphic explanation. I first got her to say she is throwing a rise. The the catcher to call it.... all that was left was for her to see it for herself. Really it was just the drop throwed high. But it does rain down in the strike zone.... you can bet the farm it is always over the plate.

Here is the pitch I scraped it from....I highlighted the trails to show speed, and because it was a bad background, barley could see the ball without zooming..... The catcher said she seen it rise... LOL

BobbyB - whether you understand PC or not really isn't important. He adds a unique perspective and a degree of levity. He looks at the positive rather than the negative. He is an idea man, think Michael Keaton in Night Shift. Not all of the ideas may be good, but there might be an occasional gem. He asks "Why not?" and "What could be" instead of "Why?" and "What is". He enjoys spending time with his DD and is enthused about softball. Who else climbs on the roof of their house to film video of their kid? But, IMO, what truly sets PC apart here on DFP is that he rarely fails to makes me smile or laugh.

I think its great that he is a "What could be" person and that he is enthusiastic about softball and supports his DD to the degree he does. His style definitely makes him unique. Maybe you could decipher it some for me... so I don't miss the humor. As far as it being important whether I understand him...your correct...it really doesn't matter. I answered curiousgeorge with an opinion.

Having already shown the respect due all OP's by answering there question.... My Answer to OP
I'll extend to your directive, as it has come up in other threads numerous times.

I think that not understanding me is but a reflection of not understanding the OP's question. Or maybe not just having an answer at all. Not understanding is giving up. I never heard of Big Bang, or Night Shift before tonight...but after seeing them used to refer to my virtual persona, I looked them up....and in the course of my tenacity I think I have received light as to why.... I don't watch TV or Movies. I did enjoy the clips of both ...thx. That could be why the thought pattern might be considered unique.

I played with this in the other thread and offered techniques of translation for fun. But really, if you would really be intent on responding to the OP's question... I think you will see that I always am, and on the positive path to a solution. At least thats my intention. GM I hope you will excuse and understand that I'm not as creative, in humoring these redundancies. Thx for your comment. This will be a little tougher than getting the signature, but I do subscribe to it, and plan to live up to it.

Now let me ask you bobbyb... Who would you prefer to teach your DD, to pitch, C. Thomas or J.Taylor?

Little Beaver, If you knew where I was coming from, and I know you do, PUN intended, then you would see where PC is at right now, in his thoughts about discussing FP. I am a match for some and a new book of knowledge for others. I asked who everybody would rather have teach their DD to pitch, between 2 well known Team USA pitchers. And if they couldn't choose between the 2, I asked them who would be their other choice. Re read the posts on this thread. I don't think anybody picked either one of the two, many have said Gillis and Hillhouse. Hal said Ernie Parker. Nobody said they would have Hal or BM or me. Some have talked about things that have witnessed a PC teaching a 10yo, in disbelief. Curves and screw balls...Let me refresh my thoughts by rereading a few more comments...I'll be back. I see nobody choose either Chelsea or Jordan but one said Finch and Osterman were terrible coaches, not knowing if they were kidding or not. One said it didn't matter who the PC was it was up to the pitcher...I got at the ball park training watching you know who. You know Don Proctor, and he taught me something about pitching I will never forget. It took him 1 minute and the lesson was over and I was on my way across the country beating some of the best teams and players ever. Nobody from our home town knows what I did in my travels, but me. You do know where I am coming from, but not where I've been. I haven't given back to the game much in the past, but If I can lead a parent to Doug Gillis or Bill Hillhouse, or Mike White, or Jody Heddingar, or the likes of these guys, I feel like I am giving back a lot. I would recommend you as a hitting coach, because I know where you are coming from and WHO taught you everything you know. PC has a better idea where I come from than most. He is willing to learn. He also is teaching me about DFP. Who would you want, to teach your DD, to pitch?
