So true. We could see that they had moved beyond Michigan by their afternoon game later that the day versus USF. I think the Gamecocks have a great 1-2 punch with Jake and Nikki Blue. Look for them to split most of their games this year. This was the plan that Bev articulated before Jake signed and we loved the idea. FWIW - Nikki lead the NCAA in saves her Freshman year with 7. In less than a week she already has 3 for the season. All time NCAA D1 record is 15.

That kid can pitch. I think she really has established herself quickly. Always fun to see one of our own on TV. way to go Jake.

I finally got the chance to watch the game and Jake did great! That game proved that if you make contact you are dangerous. Tapper back to the NC pitcher. She throws it "like a girl" to the catcher for a play at the plate and the bad throw allowed 2 runs. SC took advantage of the mistake and blew the game wide open.
