For those of you needing comparisons on cameras and phones, this popped up on my YouTube Feed. May help some on video ideas.

Also check out more of this guys videos. I've learned a heck of a lot from him. Especially with the GoPro settings

Mic is awesome. When a new GoPro is about to be released, I usually go to him first for my recon work.

We have a lot of customers using iPhones (smartphones in general; mostly for streaming). But for recording full games, I still recommend the GoPro. The quality of the iPhone is really good, but I just don't feel those cameras were originally designed to record that much video at a time. Not to mention, when it fills up, you will have to copy data off and delete in order to capture the next game (rather than replace an SD card).

But as far as reducing the number of devices needed, iPhones do take some very good video.

We have android phones...can any of the go pros broadcast to Facebook or livestream either on their own or through an android. Our hero 4 won't do it.

I'm a mostly Android user as well. We experimented some time ago with an app called Live4 and a HERO4 (wireless changed in HERO5 and newer. To my knowledge, this app will not work with them). The problem is, the video that streams is the very low resolution video that is used for the preview. So it really is poor quality. For streaming we have used mostly smartphones in the past, and recently a Mevo Plus. Still testing the Mevo, but very pleased with it for streaming.
