The best thing about Hasty is that she is as good a person as a softball player.Hasty is pretty great player. And I believe CNU takes it all. Pretty dang solid from what I have heard.

This is so very true!! She is the most awesome person and such a great role model for Haley and all the girls on her former TB and HS teams. Her grand slam yesterday was a thing of beauty!!The best thing about Hasty is that she is as good a person as a softball player.

Escaping the atmosphere/culture only to find different problems at the new program. Make the best of what you have. Make it work and learn from the process. Get the education and the degree. We'll probably never know the true motivations behind transfer decisions, but I can't help but think it's probably way more related to escaping the current atmosphere/culture for those athletes. Yes, there will be athletes who are looking to move up the competitive ladder by entering the portal but it seems that the majority are making lateral moves...
Ahhhhh 'coaching carousel'The portal is also similar to the "coaching carousel", in that it creates momentum for more activity, which repeats over and over.
High profile coach leaves school B for A, suddenly the coach at C is given a big raise to go to B. repeat over and over down the line.
Similar things happen with the portal. Senior SS graduates, and the backup SS ready for their chance. Then the portal SS shows up and the backup doesn't like what they see in the new depth chart, so they transfer, and repeat at their new school...
