High School 8-12. They are a small school. But great Softball Tradition.

Not to come off as being insulting ... but in many areas (not all), HS-ball is simply an older age level of LL-ball. Play at a low enough level, and just about anything will work.

I don't see this as being effective at something like the PGF national tournament level.

I'd be interested in seeing the swings slowed down.....Looks like they are striding and getting a late hand load. The second girl who pulls the ball looks to have her hips/lower body involved.....Having a tough time getting over the 6 inch choke up though!

Looks like "the Slash" its what I told DD to do when she's got 2 strikes :cool:

If it's working for them then they have no reason to want to change. As your competition improves you must adapt and improve as well. There are reasons why quirky swings and mechanics are and were taught throughout the history of both baseball and fastpitch. The bottom line is that as the game has continued, there are certain swing mechanics that always prevail.
