I am also a newbie, but from my just viewing these two clips, without loading them in some software to really look at them closely, I see one landing on a stiff and straightened front leg, while the other gets in a more "sat" position, which I believe creates a different kind of force in the whole swing.

I agree with mann on this one. Bottom swing in eric's post is more fluid and smooth. He holds the coiil, he gets the barrel flat and on plane quicker

RD highlights a very crucial distinction here.

Knightsb distinguishes what occurs in their respective hip sockets (correlation is reversed, where lower panel with the baseball corresponds to the typical hitter in the top panel Happy Gilmore)

The hip socket in the typical hitter operates as passive joint. This can be represented by the universal joint, where axial rotation in the paired shafts gets transmitted through a bend (i.e.. flexion or extension of the hip) for axial rotation in the other.

Look closely at all your hitters....Examine the the relationship between their top half, and their bottom. Each half will revolute in the same direction as the other towards the ball. Your hitters have an axis of rotation (it isn't always the back leg, because they are taught to weight shift to the front) comprised of axles that operate in tandem with the other through a passive link.

Appreciate all who have participated. Now let's put it together.

(More to come).

I'm right here.
The top swing looks more compact with more influence on rotation to me, ...the lower swings appears to have more sequence in it, with better extension that works into a firm front side....the bottom swing also appears to generate everything from the ground up. But I'm all eyes and ears right now.

Tbao...Thanks, looking forward to your follow-up. But no rush....I have time
