Agree RD.

Now tell us what the rear leg does for Mini-, that is not happening for the fellow at the top. The novice will not notice the difference. But there is a huge difference to the mechanism of power generating.

Also, look at their hand swivels. What are they doing differently?

Not here.
TBao,
You be my guest. I'm sure you know way, way more than me. I'm the novice you speak of.

Maybe a new prospective view will be refreshing than my 'parroting'?

RD, I appreciate the honesty.

Let's all come out in making this a dialogue. SL..... Let's hear from you. It's your thread. As someone had said, let's make it all worthwhile for a "sticky".

We are all taught what is shown at the top. I know because every one of your hitters on this site, including the "profiled and regarded" ones are no different. Let's change that, by first understanding what happens to one that shows the "corner"

I read a weight back, stretch & fire with the bottom swing, and a weight forward shoulders swing on the top swing (btw, in the same novice category as RD).

Pushing hands. Pushing rear leg. Barrel turns beside the body. No corner.

Rear side resistance. Pulling rear leg. Barrel turns behind the shoulder, creating the corner.

I am also a newbie, but from my just viewing these two clips, without loading them in some software to really look at them closely, I see one landing on a stiff and straightened front leg, while the other gets in a more "sat" position, which I believe creates a different kind of force in the whole swing.

Im certainly a novice too, but will venture a post. Rear leg action in bottom guy allows hip to clear out laterally causing barrel to rotate explosively around scip axis. Top guy has fixed location leg/hip which causes around-spine circular swing. There is a very good thread at HI that might describe the top guy's barrel path as down/up/up and the bottom guy's as down/down/up.
