My daughter (age 11) has feet like mine; very wide through the ball of the foot for her overall shoe size. The local sporting goods stores don't have any spikes in wider widths. Does anybody have a source for these?

Try Ringors.com. Order at least one size bigger than needed. For some reason these cleats run 1 size small.

Also, we call them cleats, in softball. :) Welcome to the board.

You could also get her a pair of men's turfs. They are great for softball.

The turfs have more comfort. I too had problems finding proper
size cleats for oldest DD at local sporting goods retailer. One trip to Dicks
Sporting goods solved that as they carry more than the 'standard sizes'.
Since then, we use the local pro-shop at batting cages for special order
cleats. There is a 2-week wait but it is well worth it. The Ringors are on tap for
next spring

Mea culpa. I still call the pitcher's plate the "rubber", too.

Dick's IS one of our local retailers, that didn't have any wide sizes.

Thanks, both of you; I'll check out Ringors.

I don't get the fascination with Ringors, they are more than twice the weight of my DD's Mizuno's.
I picked one up and it felt like I was holding a Dutch clog. :p
