Definitely ask them to quiet down. It's funny to me how people in movies never hesitate to shush others. Maybe it's because it's dark and no one know who is doing the shushing? But community means keep each other accountable. I don't suggest being rude of course, but simply and directly stating to another parent that you're having trouble concentrating on the game is not rude. Confrontation doesn't have to be ugly.

A movie is different than a softball game. Just like a golf match is different than a football game. There's no reason that someone has to be quiet at a softball game or discuss softball while they're there. Just find a spot to sit away from them if you find it annoying.
