When DD doesn't have a real catcher, Boyfriend gets back there and I give him the thinnest Buckaroo Nokona we have and work on the drop as much as possible.

If I was a bucket dad of a younger pitcher I would invest in a Vinci JVC-VM. They are expensive (retail for $229), but they are heavy duty and will last a long time with a little TLC.
