"Use back to throw"

After the "practicing without catcher's gear" incident a few weeks ago, we decided to go to a new team. My daughter used to be the catcher, but her new coach says her arm and speed are wasted as a catcher in the 8u age group, so he put her on 3rd base/short stop for now. However, when she throws from 3rd to first, he keeps telling her to throw with her back, not just her arm? We want to help her practice doing this, but I am not sure what he is talking about. Can someone give me an example, please?

I would not phrase it that way but I would guess she is not using her body or feet. Video from Candrea on throwing can be found here.

Not the best que to use, but I believe he wants her to follow through on her throws. Arm across the body, chin over the feet, bent over, but eyes still on the target.

Maybe he said "Rare back and throw!" or "Rear back, and throw!" depending on the accent.
