My DD (14) got a good size bruise inside elbow bruse from pitching.
She is definitely not an overused pitcher ...probably never pitched more than 4 games in a 7 day period ... always a day in between games. Most she ever pitched in a day was 10 innings.
One weekend 4 days in a row, 4 games, one each day. Big bruise on elbow, none on side of body.
Gave her two weeks off (no pitching in our tournament 17th18th, but played one game at 2nd(sat other 3 games) ...
no tourn last weekend, pitched 30-40 light pitches Fri and she was fine, pitched 30 min Mon with no pain.
Pitched 30 min again on Tues (at home)(pretty hard) and no pain then went to practice ... about the
9th/10th batter she said it hurt so she sat the rest of practice.
It did look like she was coming too close to hip when pitches to batters ... at home she was thinking more and I was reminding her more about staying open longer.
No issues throwing overhand (at all), radial movement no elbow pain, push ups, any movement is fine ..
Last tourn this weekend ... she will play the field .. I doubt that she will pitch much, if at all.
Then we have 4-6 weeks off ... she will take 4 weeks off with no pitching.
Then we will begin correctling mechanics.
If pain returns we will see a specialist ...
