When a player goes on an unofficial visit, is it normally followed up with an offer? How does all this work?
JAD- you should have said something to the coach like-'DD is interested in this school and what does she have to improve upon to become a member of your team?" I have seem in the past that is what they are looking for to see "if" you are interested. They are obviously interested in her if invited for an unofficial visit.
They can't go on official visits until their senior year so obviously most offers are made before the official visit. An "unofficial visit" is a college is interested but wants to see if A.- yall are interested B.-To get to know yall to see if maybe you would be a good fit.
Usually you will not be offered anything on an "unofficial visit". It should normally followed up with an Email to the Coaching staff by your dd to tell them of her interest level and thanking them for the opportunity to see the college. Be aware each division of NCAA and NAIA have their own rules (laws) about replying directly to potential recruits. The "official visit" is where a firm offer will be made..

Is she meeting with the coach during the visit? What Division is the school?
DD has her first unofficial visit at D1 program in few weeks. Just trying to get a grasp on how things work.
