okie;327760I One thing i've learned from being a lurker on this site for years and being involved in this game for a very long time is that said:
While I generally agree with you that there are very few "absolutes" in pitching, there are a couple. ALL elite pitchers use internal rotation to generated velocity and high spin rates. The other absolute is NONE of these Elite pitchers use HE mechanics (push the ball down the circle with a hello elbow finish). With your 3 very good pitchers who are taught HE mechanics I would bet that they are using some IR and may not actually be doing HE mechanics when they pitch. For example, my DD 1st PC taught her this "push the ball down the circle, and pull up to a hello elbow finish" but my DD could never get it "right" because she kept fighting her natural tendency to internally rotate her arm before and into release. So the point is that instructors may be teaching HE, but the students are not actually doing these movements correctly (thank god!). At least that is my experience with some HE students.
