I would go with turf cleats or molded cleats on a turf field just for that little extra added traction. The turf can still be slippery with morning dew or a light rain and tennis shoes will just slide. I saw many a youth soccer player think they could get away with regular tennis shoes on a turf field and end up looking like they just slipped on a banana peel when kicking the ball.
My DD's only played on a turf field once and she didn't have too many issues at catcher. The fielders were a mess though because they were not used to the bigger bounces.
