My 10U player is almost exclusively playing in the Nike Huarache 4s. She loves them, but have since ripped from December to now. She uses them on outdoor fields (non-turf) and hasn't complained about slippage. What she has complained about is molded cleats.

At the moment, I'm having a hard time finding a turf shoe available in her size (and that she likes).

My Question is, would golf shoes be a suitable alternative? Maybe something in-between a turf shoe and molded cleats?

I can't speak to a kid, but based on a previous thread I bought a pair of Adidas Code Chaos22 for coaching and they are great... comfortable, water proof, and don't look like golf shoes.

Have you looked at trail running shoes? They have soles with solid nubs - somewhere between turf shoes and cleats. My daughter used them before we got turf shoes.
