Tryout question

That is exactly what we did for this year. Our daugher just turned 14 and can still play at that level, but she wanted to move up to 16s for her freshman year in high school. She is getting well known around Colorado as a complete 1-9 player. So, we advertised and shopped the tryouts, and were approached by an 18UA team that has always been tournament favorites. We know she is a hot player, and above most at 14s, but were humble enough to think and show differantly. Now that several higher level teams have approached us/her, we thought about it and accepted an 18A offer because at all the 18U tryouts invitations we went to, she fit right in, but stood out as well. We were kind of scared about a huge jump to 18s from second year 14s, but its not been as scary as we thought. Like starsnuffer said, no daddy coaches on any of the teams were considered. She and the team has really done well together so far. Coach JV, take the leap and move her up a level and feel good about it. The older girls aren't as differant as we thought they would be. Go for it.
