Team information (as coach I make sure we have)
Support from local softball association of $100 per player (13)
Fundraiser $1,300 - 1,700 per year
League costs $800
11 tournaments Avg cost $250
Uniforms (every other year) $75
Bats - buy at least 1 new a year (previous yr model) $250

Individual information
$175 registration fee (as coach I don't pay)
this year 8-10 nights hotel avg $100 per = $1,000
shoes - $ 50
glove - $ 70
accessory clothing (played from 35 degrees up to 110 last year) = $250
snacks, drinks, t-shirts, meals, entry for DW & 3 other kids to tourney = $1,500 - $2,000
Gas - today's price $1,000 - summer bump close to $1,500

Hmmm...This is our first year and I haven't really been keeping track. Now that you started this thread, I feel it's probably a good idea to start.

New CF4...$300
New Nokona glove $300
Team Fees due by end of this month...$500
Gas since we drive 1 1/2 hrs each way twice a week....$250 a month
Extra tournament fees....$60 so far
Lessons...$60 a month
and this doesn't include the hotel/motels, meals, gas etc. etc. for the future tourneys we'll travel for

May want to slow down on the $300 bats and gloves. That will get out of hand in a hurry.

Thank you I know:) However, She needed a new glove because her old Mizuno for 7 years finally gave up the ghost so I decided to buy her one that would preferably last her through High School at least. That's if she continues to play for the next 6 years which, right now, looks as if she wants to. As for the bat, she was swinging an Easton aluminum -13 32/19 so I needed to get her something else since she grew better than 6' and gained 20 lbs in the past 9 months alone....and is still growing. She's swinging a 33/23 now and really could go to a 34/24 if she wanted to.

I just got a look at the tax 2010 return for Bill Conroy's Beverly Bandits two girls softball teams. They are a listed as non-profit. The costs for 2 teams was $142,000 in 2010.
