Wow! Really! Rich may bash people on his own website but members here who try or follow HI"s method of hitting do not attack others on this website who approach hitting differently. You got a bug stuck up where the sun don't shine and always harping on him or his appoach to hitting. Let it go, your dd succeded with out him. Your buddies dds are flourishing without HI. Throwing and hitting have similar actions (coil, scap retraction, lower back pull back) with a very significant difference. In throwing, you externally rotate the humerus to raise the hand. In hitting, you adduct and use the scap and hands to lower the elbow. There's very little (if any) external rotation in hitting.
