I coach High School Softball I'm in agreement with most, she is gone! I had a similar incident even after having handing out the schedule and team rules months earlier! If they don't have the time or commitment to play don't play.

Do you coach at a private school where all the girls drive BMW's to practice? My DD played for a very competitive public high school. The coach was an absolute hard rear when it came to softball; however, she was aware of personal situations with some of the girls. During her coaching career, she made decisions and adjustments that helped countless girls survive their personal challenges. There is not enough information in this situation to pass judgement or make recommendations as to the punishment.
