So, she's hitting a changeup of some sort, gets foot down way early, but deals with it. Also steps out. Did she anticipate or read the inside pitch? And what did she do well to allow her to crush the ball when her timing was a little off (early)?

my thought was she anticipated the pitch correctly.
interesting to see the way the pitcher hit the brakes upon release.

Got to toe touch. Still didn't plant her heel.

And what did she do well to allow her to crush the ball when her timing was a little off (early)?

Hugo kept her weight back. Kept 'loading'.

Unlike the hitter in the background. 'Feels' like the background hitter shifts her weight forward.
