IMO and not Tewks, bat drag is a combination of pushing the knob and pulling off the ball.

Hand pushers don't normally drag the barrel. They get the hands/bat ahead of rotation. They don't normally drag anything.

Bat draggers have to much whip, or a least trying to create whip.
