TB roster questions

Is it a common practice for TB coaches to add players during the season?

The team has 13 now and is letting 2 more try out.

Is there ever a time where you as coaches decide this is our team for the season? Or are TB teams constantly rotating players?

What age group? Also, is there a specialty position that they're looking for like pitcher or catcher?

2 good pitchers & 2 good catchers on roster now.

Of course that's my opinion, I don't know the coaches opinion.

Most of the high level A orgs I know don't think in terms of "this season" or "that season", but remain open year round to bringing in and training talent into the organization. Just because a 13 year old tries out and joins the organization and starts attending indoor and outdoor practices with the 14u team does not mean she'll play the first few tournaments, but she'll be dressed out and ready to go and very well MAY play, depending on how the cards fall. This may mean an extra player or two on a roster but it also means a 14 year old is freed up to go play a few tournaments with the 16u team, ect.

You cant' think of teams and seasons when you're trying to focus on a successful organization.
