I just spent a week down in Florida @ the Rebel games and seen some of the best D 2 with step style pitching, l lot of movement hitting spots and making batters look foolish
i know this is an old thread, but i'm just now able to get back to it. i'm pleased to hear of other step style pitchers out there being successful. we've been working on increasing her step length, and we're at the point where she really has to start leaping or she'll fall over. i've noticed on her fastball (now cruising around 45 mph) she will get a little leap and drag with a near-perfect "S" shape drag. change up/off speed pitches she's still stepping. right now i think this is ok, but when pitch selection becomes more of an issue against better batters, i see problems coming up.
