Spike Drag

How soon after a good rain should you spike drag an infield? I understand it should not be done when it's too wet. How often should it be done, when possible (once a week, twice a week, etc.)? Thanks.

We spike drag to dry out our fields...as soon as we can get a machine on them w/o rutting the field or spinning the tires. A good spike drag will keep the field soft and smooth. We light drag over the top after the spike drag if we are preparing for a game. When the field gets to dry we add water and then spike drag otherwise the ag-lime gets like asphalt.

The only issue you need to be careful of, if they put down red brick or clay on top of sand. You go to deep and you will have an issue.
