slow motion

What software is recommended for slow motion video work on the computer?Looking for something very user friendly.I see free downloadable programs on line but have no clue.I do know that nothing is free.I have windows movie maker but only see option to slow down half speed. ty in advance.

I recently downloaded virtual dub at Welcome to virtualdub.org! - virtualdub.org It allows you to reset the frames per second to anything you want. Haven't done much with other features since the slo-mo is the main thing I wanted it for.

I have a pgm called BS.Player Pro ($29). There is a FREE version but I don't know if it plays all the movie formats, just download it and try it. It is easy to use, just a small learning curve. I have not used it since last fall, but if I remember correctly, you use shift+F6 on your keyboard to decrease the speed in 10% increments. Using just the F6 key decreases in 1% increments. Using the F5 key just does the opposite. The only thing I don't like is you have to make your adjustments while the movie is playing. It will also play the movie in full screen format.
