Should playing time in rec league be based on merit?

Coach and I were able to get onto the same page. I know that people feel what they feel - and please don't take me as saying that feelings should never be considered - but the numbers are what they are. Sometimes people just need to see a little outline or graph on paper to gain an understanding of something that might not make sense when thinking only about what they feel. The compromise from my side wasn't that difficult at all. When all was said and done, the only thing she wanted was for me to give the younger players more time in the infield so long as safety isn't an issue.
